Join us for a full day of fun, with a tour of two local Temecula Valley wineries.
Our day will be spent touring two local wineries of Temecula Valley - Frangipani Estate Winery and Wilson Creek Winery! We will plan a fantastic wine tour with salmon, cheese plates, sandwich buffet, and dessert. Sip on a variety of luscious flavors while taking in the great views of the vineyards.
Embarking from a yet-to-be-disclosed location in Long Beach and Orange County, you'll enjoy a relaxing ride en route to Temecula. Once we arrive, we will take a leisurely tour of two glorious wineries and vineyards. Come along with us and enjoy the tour and learn the art of creating a fine wine.
Legend has it this valley was named by Nahachish, an Indian wanderer whose life was spent traveling from place to place, naming things. Standing on a hillside viewing the vast lands below, he saw smoke rising from Indian campfires on the valley floor mixing with thick mist flowing over the western hills. Sunshine passed through this haze, creating diffused sunbeams. Absorbing the scene, Nahachish proclaimed this beautiful area "Temeku", which would become Temecula, after Spanish missionaries settled the valley, literally translated meaning “land where the sun shines through the mist”.
The first stop is the boutique Frangipani Estate Winery, located above a picturesque, peaceful valley. Reminiscent of an old-world Italian-style vintner, this winery offers a covered patio terrace to relax on while sipping wine. The grounds are a perfect setting for private wine tasting, luncheons, and picnics on the hilltop patio or bocce ball lawn area amongst the vineyards.
The friendly, informative staff offers excellent service. A delicious smoked salmon and cheese board will be the perfect elegant touch to accompany the wines being sampled during this visit.
The next destination and location for lunch is the very guest-centric, extremely popular Wilson Creek Winery. Participants will be awed by an exclusive and unique private tasting and production area tour conducted. You’ll be guided from vineyard to barrel room learning about the process of wine production and sampling as you go!. Ample free time will be provided to explore the beautiful grounds and take advantage of wine purchase discounts offered to Squirrel Friends Events guests. Our group may find themselves engaging with the affable Wilson family members as they explore the impressive grounds.
Sandwich Buffet
Select from a variety of artisan breads, thinly sliced meats, cheeses, two salads, and chef’s selection of delectable dessert bites. Lunch is served in a beautiful outdoors covered area, or in an attractive, protected environment, dedicated to our group, if the weather is adverse.
** Guests should please note that temperatures in the valley in July can be quite hot within the mid to high 80’s and possibly reaching into the mid 90’s. Cool afternoon breezes do occur, but the sun will be high for the length of the day. Therefore, please dress appropriately and bring a hat or sunblock as needed to protect yourself.
